Tasma McEady- Therapist in Sunrise, FL

I am a compassionate and supportive therapist who believes that meaningful change begins when clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, creating a space where clients can explore their experiences without judgment while developing practical tools to support growth and emotional well-being.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, emotional regulation difficulties, self-esteem concerns, family stress, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting families navigating neurodivergent experiences, including Autism and ADHD.

Clients can expect therapy to be a collaborative process focused on understanding their unique needs, identifying personal strengths, building effective coping skills, and creating realistic steps toward their goals. I incorporate evidence-based practices while recognizing that each person’s journey is different.

I am passionate about working with Caring Therapists because I value its commitment to compassion, accessible mental health care and the opportunity to work within a supportive environment dedicated to helping individuals and families improve their quality of life.

What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

In our first few sessions, we will focus on getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and identifying your goals. I aim to create a comfortable, supportive space where you can speak openly and begin developing practical tools for change.

What makes you different from other therapists?

I bring a warm, genuine, and collaborative approach to therapy. I focus on understanding the whole person, not just symptoms, and tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs, strengths, and goals.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I bring a warm, genuine, and collaborative approach to therapy. I focus on understanding the whole person, not just symptoms, and tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs, strengths, and goals.

What inspired you to become a therapist, psychologist or medication management provider?

My inspiration to become a therapist grew from supporting children and families during some of their most challenging moments while working as a special education teacher. Through conversations and conferences with parents, I often found myself offering encouragement, support, and reassurance as they navigated concerns about their children. Those experiences showed me how deeply emotional well-being impacts the entire family and inspired me to pursue a role where I could provide that support in a more meaningful and lasting way.
