What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

In our first few sessions you can expect a welcoming, confidential space to talk about whatever feels important. I’ll listen with empathy and curiosity, help normalize difficult feelings, and ask gentle questions to understand your goals and history. Together we’ll identify a few concrete steps or coping strategies you can use right away, and develop a plan for ongoing work that fits your pace and priorities.

What makes you different from other therapists?

I treat you as the expert of your own life — not a problem to be fixed. My role is to be a guide and collaborator: I bring clinical knowledge, tools, and structure, and you bring your lived experience and goals. That partnership means therapy is person-centered, practical, and respectful of your values. I emphasize strengths, teach skills you can use between sessions, and tailor interventions so they feel useful and sustainable in your daily life.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I have always been passionate about helping others and drawn to the resilience of the human spirit. From a young age, I found myself in roles where I could listen, support, and encourage people through difficult times. Over time, that passion grew into a deeper calling — to create a career where I could help people not just feel heard, but also heal and thrive. Becoming a therapist gave me the opportunity to combine my natural empathy with effective, evidence-based practices like EMDR, while also honoring the importance of authentic human connection. Helping clients move from pain toward empowerment and fulfillment continues to inspire me every day.
