What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

Clients can expect a safe and confidential environment with blend of getting to know each other, setting goals, and laying the foundation for the work ahead. We will focus on relationship building, and exploration of what brings you to therapy and follow the pace of the client.

What makes you different from other psychologists?

Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up to me. I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel cold or clinical it can be a space that’s genuine, supportive, and even sprinkled with humor. I work to strike a balance between deep emotional insight and practical, evidence-based tools you can use in everyday life. You’ll find more than just a listening ear, you'll get real support, honest feedback, and strategies to help you move forward.

What inspired you to become a psychologist?

I originally trained as a forensic psychologist, driven by a strong interest in the intersection of mental health and the legal system. I was fascinated by what influences people’s choices especially in high-stakes situations that are often misunderstood or judged without context. Forensic work taught me how to think critically, assess behavior objectively, and hold space for complexity.

Over time, though, I realized I wanted to go beyond understanding and explaining behavior, and wanted to be part of the healing process. That desire to support people through their pain, trauma, and growth is what led me to transition into clinical psychology. While my foundation is rooted in forensic work, the core of my practice now is relational, compassionate, and centered on helping people make meaningful change.
