What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

The first few sessions are really just about getting to know each other. I’ll ask some questions to understand what’s been going on for you, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and anything else you feel comfortable sharing. There’s no pressure to open up about everything right away — we’ll go at your pace. It’s also a chance for you to see how I work and ask any questions you have. Think of it as laying the groundwork so we can figure out the best way to move forward together.

What makes you different from other therapists?

Every therapist brings something unique to the table, and for me, it’s a mix of how I show up as a real human being and the way I tailor therapy to you. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches — I’ll meet you where you’re at, listen without judgment, and work collaboratively to figure out what actually helps you feel better, not just what the textbook says should work.

I also focus on creating a space that feels safe, down-to-earth, and genuinely supportive. Whether you’re dealing with something big or just feeling stuck, I’m here to help you make sense of things, move through challenges, and reconnect with your strengths — not to diagnose and disappear.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I’ve always been drawn to understanding people — what they go through, how they heal, and what helps them grow. Over time, I realized that holding space for others, really listening, and helping them navigate life’s harder moments felt like meaningful work I wanted to do every day. I’m passionate about helping people feel less alone in what they’re going through and more connected to their own resilience. It’s not about “fixing” people — it’s about walking alongside them, helping them make sense of things, and finding ways forward that actually work for them.
