What can I expect in my first few sessions with you?

Your first few sessions are about building a foundation. We'll start by discussing what brings you to therapy, your history, and what you hope to achieve. I'll ask questions to understand your unique situation—whether that involves anxiety, family dynamics, academic challenges, or other concerns. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for whether we're a good fit. Together, we'll begin identifying goals and developing a treatment approach tailored to you. Most importantly, we'll start establishing the trust and rapport that make meaningful, lasting change possible.

What makes you different from other therapists, psychologists, ARNPs?

With more than 20 years of clinical experience in South Florida, I bring deep expertise to every session. I work across the full lifespan—with children, adolescents, adults, and families—giving me unique insight into how patterns develop over time and how family dynamics shape individual struggles. My approach is genuinely individualized. Rather than applying a rigid protocol, I tailor each therapeutic relationship to you, recognizing that your path to healing is your own. I'm also strengths-based, helping you identify and build upon what's already working in your life—creating change that feels empowering, not clinical. Above all, I create a space that's nonjudgmental and collaborative. You're an active partner in your growth, working alongside someone who brings both clinical expertise and genuine warmth to your care.

What inspired you to become a therapist, psychologist or medication management provider?

My path to psychology began in childhood. My father is a psychiatrist, and growing up, conversations about mental health and human behavior were simply part of everyday life. I listened as he discussed the complexities of the mind, and I became fascinated by how people think, feel, and heal. That early exposure planted a seed that never stopped growing. But beyond that influence, I've always been drawn to helping others—it's simply part of who I am. Understanding people, supporting them through struggles, and watching them grow into stronger versions of themselves has always felt like more than a career choice; it feels like a calling. Becoming a psychologist allowed me to combine this lifelong desire to help with a genuine curiosity about the human experience. Today, that same passion drives everything I do in my practice.
