What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

The first few sessions will primarily focus on rapport building, getting to know the client and their life history, any pertinent relational history and overall what brings them in to therapy. During this time, myself and the client will be reviewing HIPPA compliance standards, completing any required documentation, and processing past experiencing leading the client to the session. Through all gathered information, therapist and client will work alongside each other to formulate a treatment plan that is structured, realistic and attainable adding therapeutic goals and objectives that will serve as the foundation for future sessions.

What makes you different from other therapists?

I believe real change happens through a genuine, trusting relationship. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly heard and supported. I balance empathy with practical tools, helping clients understand their experiences while also building skills they can use in everyday life. Therapy is not a “one-shoe-fits-all” philosophy. I use a collaborative approach that is tailored to each client’s goals, values, and pace. I help clients connect the dots between past experiences and present patterns, then work together to create meaningful, sustainable change.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I have always had a passion for the mind and how the mind works. Neuroscience has always intrigued me and as I graduated high school I looked into all related fields. I myself, have experienced my share of grief and trauma. I enrolled in therapy during my undergraduate experience in high school and it changed my life! This led me to shifting gears in what I planned to study for my bachelors and masters degree, which led me to becoming a therapist. I wanted to dedicate my life in assisting, guiding and making a difference in the lives of others by leading them to a brighter path, as I was by my college therapist.
