What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

Starting therapy is a big step, but the rewards can be well worth it. It is natural to feel nervous when meeting and opening up to someone new. Therapy is a judgment-free space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that feels right for you. The first three sessions will feel informal and relaxed. In these initial sessions, you can expect a lot of questions ranging from reasons for being in therapy to potential goals and history taking. These sessions are a great time to build trust while allowing space for questions and comfortability.

What makes you different from other therapists?

Different therapists use many strategies and techniques to support them in treatment. Varying therapy styles can be more effective for certain conditions and not one process or method will work for everyone. As a clinician, I offer a range of modalities including CBT, DBT, Client based therapy, psychoanalytic therapy and EDMR training. With my rich background, I will tailor your treatment plan and pair your needs appropriately. I create a safe, supportive space where boundaries, identity, and unique experiences are respected.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I believe that therapy is a powerful service that can empower individuals to live more fulfilling lives. This is fortified by my own personal experiences and challenges that have been addressed and supported by therapy.

I have always been fascinated by the complexities of the human mind and behavior. I have a strong pull to help others who are struggling and make a positive impact on their lives.  I enjoy meeting my clients and creating therapeutic relationships that are based in trust and understanding. I learn so much from my clients every day and truly believe in the power of connection.
