What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

In our first few sessions, you can expect a warm, collaborative environment where we take time to understand what’s bringing you to therapy and what you'd like to get out of it. We’ll explore your current challenges, relevant past experiences, and begin identifying patterns that may be influencing your thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. My goal is to help you feel safe, seen, and empowered from the very beginning.

What makes you different from other therapists?

I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. Having spent years in therapy myself, I know how vulnerable and life-changing the process can be. That perspective helps me connect with clients on a deeper, more compassionate level. I use a blend of evidence-based approaches like CBT and trauma-focused care, along with mindfulness, and an understanding of psychosomatic issues. Whether you're carrying anxiety, trauma, or something you can’t yet name, I’ll meet you with curiosity, patience, and respect. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, and I strive to create a space that feels safe, warm, and truly yours.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

My path to becoming a therapist began with being a client myself. I spent many years in therapy and deeply understand what it's like to sit on the other side. That experience changed my life, helping me break free from limiting patterns, heal wounds I didn’t fully understand, and grow in ways I didn’t think were possible. What I love most about therapy is the freedom it offers; the chance to finally let go of old emotional shackles and step into a more empowered version of yourself. I became a therapist because I wanted to help others experience that same transformation, to not only understand their challenges but actively move through them toward meaningful, lasting change.
