What can I expect in my first few sessions with you?

You can expect your first session to feel welcoming, supportive, and free of judgment. My goal is to create a space where you feel accepted, heard, and comfortable being yourself. I approach each person with openness, warmth, and genuine care, and I value building a connection that feels safe and authentic. During our first meeting, we’ll spend time getting to know you — what brings you in, what challenges you may be facing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no pressure to share everything all at once, and you are welcome to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I will listen with compassion, ask thoughtful questions, and work collaboratively with you to better understand your experiences, strengths, and goals. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share any concerns, and get a sense of whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit. My intention is for you to leave feeling supported, understood, and hopeful about the work we can do together.

What makes you different from other psychologists?

One thing that makes my approach different is that I believe healing happens through genuine human connection, not just technique. I’m open, transparent, and real with my clients in a way that helps them feel safe enough to be honest themselves. If something feels important in the room, I don’t hide behind clinical language or distance — I address it with compassion and authenticity. Clients often tell me they feel like they can finally exhale because they’re talking to someone who feels human, grounded, and emotionally present.

What inspired you to become a psychologist?

My journey into psychology started from a very human place. In high school, I felt intense pressure to succeed, stay socially connected, and balance everything perfectly, which sometimes left me feeling anxious and overwhelmed. When I took my first psychology course, something clicked. I became fascinated by understanding the mind, emotions, and why people struggle the way they do. What started as a personal search for understanding turned into a genuine passion for helping others navigate their own challenges with compassion and self-awareness.
