What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

In our first few sessions, my goal is to get to know you, your story, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s most important to you right now and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions that help us clarify your goals and highlight the strengths and resources you already have.

Because I use Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), our conversations will focus less on what’s “wrong” and more on what’s possible. We’ll explore what’s been working for you, what small steps can make a difference, and how you can move toward the future you want.

You can expect a collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you feel safe to share openly. I’ll check in with you often to make sure therapy feels meaningful and supportive. By the end of our early sessions, you’ll start to have a clearer picture of your goals and some practical strategies to begin moving forward.

What makes you different from other therapists?

What sets me apart as a therapist is my focus on creating meaningful change in a way that feels both supportive and efficient. As a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern specializing in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), I center our work on your strengths and resources rather than dwelling only on problems. This means we work together to uncover what’s already working in your life and build on it to create practical, lasting solutions.

I am intentional about making therapy a collaborative experience. I don’t see myself as the “expert” who tells you what to do— instead, I walk alongside you, asking questions and offering tools that help you discover your own answers. My role is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel safe to be yourself, while also guiding you toward clear goals and achievable steps forward.

Clients often share that they appreciate my balance of warmth and practicality: I care deeply about your story while also keeping our conversations focused on creating change you can actually see and feel in your day-to-day life. My hope is that you leave each session not only feeling heard, but also with new insights and strategies that move you closer to the life and relationships you want.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I was inspired to become a therapist because I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact therapy can have on people’s lives. Knowing how healing it can be to feel supported, understood, and guided gave me a deep passion to provide that same experience for others.

I chose Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) because it highlights the strengths people already have and helps them create real, lasting change. I love witnessing those moments when clients begin to see their own progress and recognize their ability to move forward.

For me, being a therapist is about creating a safe, compassionate space where growth feels possible and change feels within reach. Every session is an opportunity to support someone in building a healthier, more fulfilling future.
