What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

In the first few sessions, I would mostly focus on building rapport and creating a connection with the client as a person. Also, we would discuss what the client would like to get out of the therapy in which I would take into consideration when I begin to formulate their treatment plan. Different approaches are considered depending on the client and their specific needs. I also prefer to be honest about the expectations of therapy and how a client will only get out of therapy the efforts they put into their own therapy journey.

What makes you different from other therapists?

What sets me apart from my counterparts is my extensive cultural competence, which is a trait I feel cannot be taught but rather is earned through experiences, to provide that kind of awareness and authenticity. Also, the fact that I am a Bilingual-Millennial therapist with professional experience in the different spectrums that can be considered Mental Health services. My intention is always to meet my clients where they are in their journey and gently provide the support and guidance they are craving.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

What inspired me to enter this field is the genuine fascination of how the brain works and what drives humans to behave and operate the way they do. As well as helping individuals see their light and trying to make a difference in the lives of individuals in my own community. Mental health impacts every part of life, which made me want to dedicate my career to helping people heal, grow, and live more fulfilling lives. Cultivating resilience while promoting growth is always the goal.
