Dianne Marin- Therapist in Port Orange, FL

Intorduction

I have always had a deep desire to understand how people think, what makes them tick and how to best assist them when they are in need of help and support. I provided EEO & EAP counseling services in the public sector within the Federal Government, while raising a family. Upon retirement from the government, I now provide therapeutic counseling services to children (ages 3 - 10), adults, couples, and families for those dealing with ADHD, family conflict, grief, and other challenges. I speak Spanish fluently and can assist with cultural concerns as well.

My approach

I believe in person-centered therapy and desire to assist my clients in recognizing their strengths. I also help my clients work on any weaknesses toward becoming who they envision themselves to be and have this play a part in considering their therapeutic needs. I am excited to be there for clients who need someone to talk to, someone to listen without judgment, and I will do all that is possible to help them overcome any challenges in a comfortable and safe environment.

I believe with thoughtful implementation, results are possible.

What can I expect in my first few sessions with you?

We will go over ground rules, boundary setting, getting to know one another, and overall expectations in therapy.

What makes you different from other therapists, psychologists, ARNPs? *

I believe all therapists bring their own individual style as we are all unique in our own way, based on our upbringing, moral beliefs, education, background and environment.  So that would be my response as to why I am different.  I am not like any other therapist, and they are not like me. Each client must find the right fit for them. I look forward to providing the best support I can as your unique therapist.

What inspired you to become a therapist, psychologist or medication management provider?

I've always had an interest in the humanities, and what makes people think and act the way they do, which is why I studied psychology and mental health.  I am interested in how the mind works and how to help people strive to be the best person they seek to be.
