What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

In our initial sessions, we’ll focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship and establishing a sense of safety and trust. I’ll take time to gather background information, explore your current concerns, and begin to understand what brought you to therapy.

Together, we’ll identify the key issues you’d like to address and collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your goals. We’ll also discuss which therapeutic approaches and interventions might be the best fit for your needs.

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work together toward meaningful change.

What makes you different from other therapists?

I see each of my clients with unconditional positive regard, meeting you with respect, empathy, and zero judgment. I honor your story, your experiences, and the strength it took to get here.

My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, meaning therapy is something we create together. I work with adults navigating trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for change, we’ll move at your pace.

Compassion is at the core of my work, alongside evidence-based tools tailored to your needs. I may integrate EMDR to help heal trauma, ACT to support values-based living, CBT to shift unhelpful thought patterns, and DBT to build skills around emotion regulation and mindfulness.

Ultimately, therapy is a space for reconnecting with yourself, your values, and your voice. My goal is to help you feel more like you again and build a life that feels aligned and whole.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I’ve always been curious about how people think, feel, and connect with one another. From a young age, I was drawn to books about psychology and human relationships, and that curiosity eventually turned into a passion for helping others heal and grow.

Becoming a mental health counselor felt like a natural path—one that allows me to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where people can feel seen, heard, and empowered.

I truly believe in the power of connection and the resilience we all carry within us. It’s a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate life’s challenges and move toward greater self-understanding, acceptance, and change.
