What can I expect in my first few sessions with you?

During our first few sessions together, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and understood while we begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. You can expect a nonjudgmental environment that balances compassion with accountability, where you are encouraged to move at a pace that feels both safe and productive. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools you can begin applying outside of therapy.

What makes you different from other therapists?

What makes my approach unique is my specialized background working at the intersection of substance use, trauma, mental health, and cultural responsiveness. I view therapy through a whole-person lens—recognizing that symptoms often develop within the context of life experiences, relationships, culture, and environment rather than in isolation.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I was drawn to becoming a therapist through a combination of curiosity about human behavior and a genuine desire to help people create meaningful change in their lives. Early in my experiences working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, I saw how often mental health, trauma, and substance use were misunderstood or stigmatized—and how powerful it could be when someone finally felt seen, understood, and supported.
