Gianna Ross-- Student Intern in Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Hi, my name is Gianna! I am passionate about helping individuals feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate life's challenges. I enjoy working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and challenges with self-esteem. I also have a particular interest in women's issues, OCD, and autism.

I believe that everyone's experiences are unique, so I use an individualized approach that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment-based therapy, and person-centered techniques. I value helping clients explore how their experiences and relationships may influence their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I believe that building a genuine therapeutic relationship is an important part of creating meaningful change. I look forward to helping clients develop greater self-awareness, navigate challenges, and work toward personal growth at their own pace.

What can I expect in my first few sessions with you?

During our first few sessions, I want to learn more about you, your experiences, and what led you to seek therapy. I believe understanding the bigger picture is important, so we'll explore both your current challenges and the experiences or relationships that may have shaped them. We'll also discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and work toward meaningful goals together. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being yourself and sharing at your own pace.

What makes you different from other therapists, psychologists, ARNPs?

I am naturally curious about people and have a genuine interest in understanding the deeper connections between their experiences, relationships, and behaviors. While I view each client as the expert on their own life, I enjoy helping them recognize patterns, make connections, and discover insights they may not have considered before.

What inspired you to become a therapist, psychologist or medication management provider?

I've always been interested in people and understanding what shapes the way we think, feel, and interact with the world. I've also always enjoyed listening to others and understanding different perspectives. When I began considering a career in therapy, it felt like a natural fit. It combined my interest in human behavior with the opportunity to help people better understand themselves and navigate life's challenges.
