What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

With me, you can expect to have a detailed game plan to take action within the first month of treatment as well as receiving session summary emails to ensure accountability and retention of psychoeducation discussed.

What makes you different from other therapists?

As a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) millennial therapist, I both provide and encourage humor and flexible communication methods such as texting. I have authentic reactions and will challenge you when appropriate, also having group setting experience that allows you to include partners or family members in therapy as needed. Additionally, I have experience training first responders and crisis intervention teams for law enforcement and am connected with different social justice organizations having been a part of various policy reform platforms. I view you as an individual that is a part of many different systems influencing each other.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

My intention was to attain a mental health degree to enhance my understanding of human behavior and allow me to attend law school with a unique perspective. My initial career goal was to become a judge for the state of Florida. Eventually, after getting my master's degree and then getting into law school, I realized my passions and priorities had shifted. Now, I am a full-time clinical therapist and am happier than I have ever been with this new identity.
