Christine Blount, LCSW - Therapist in Palm Beach Gardens, FL

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for supporting individuals across the lifespan from age 3 through adulthood as they navigate various challenges and life transitions. My areas of focus and experience include, but are not limited to: trauma and PTSD, anxiety, OCD, self-esteem and resilience development, relationship concerns, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ issues, parenting support, and perinatal mental health.

When working with children and adolescents, I frequently incorporate play therapy techniques, sandtray therapy, expressive art therapy methods, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and child-parent psychotherapy (CPP) to facilitate their self-expression and engagement with the therapeutic process. Working with older adolescents and adults, I frequently use techniques and methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), insight-oriented therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based techniques to support clients.

With a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, I aim to meet each client where they are and to foster a supportive environment and personalized therapeutic process specific to each client’s unique needs and strengths that facilitates healing and growth.

What can I expect in my first few sessions with you?

Our initial sessions are focused on establishing and fostering a collaborative environment grounded in trust and respect in which you feel comfortable sharing your reasons for seeking support and your aspirations for our work together.

What makes you different from other therapists?

I believe that each individual follows a unique path and encounters distinct challenges. I have great respect for those who choose to seek collaboration with a therapist and pursue support. My role is to facilitate growth and the development of insights that enable individuals to heal and thrive, recognizing that this process varies from person to person.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

Supporting others in their personal journeys as they navigated and processed various life events and situations inspired me to seek formal education and training to expand my knowledge and skills. I have always been passionate about helping others, and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to offer my help in a client-centered, collaborative space.
