What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

You can expect to walk into a space that feels welcoming, safe, and free of judgment. During our first few sessions, my main goal is to help you feel comfortable and supported while I get to know you and share more about my approach to therapy. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, and that makes complete sense — my hope is that by the end of our early sessions, you’ll feel relieved you took the step to come.  Whether you’re coming in with anxiety, depression, life challenges, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, you can expect me to ask thoughtful questions and show genuine curiosity about your experiences. Together, we’ll identify and craft personalized goals that fit your unique needs. Once we’ve set those goals, we’ll move forward collaboratively and at a pace that feels right for you.

What makes you different from other therapists?

What sets me apart as a therapist is the thoughtfulness and sense of hope shaped by my faith that I bring into my work with every client. Though I am a newer clinician, my experiences in primary care outpatient and private practice settings have helped me develop a holistic understanding of the person behind the challenges. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I after studying social work and working as a case manager with families, I gained a longing to spend more intentional, one-on-one time with my clients. This led me to continue my education and earn my master’s degree in social work. During that time, my calling was only solidified as I learned the value of a therapeutic approach for creating lasting change. Through both my education and professional experiences, my passion for helping others has continued to grow. I’ve learned the profound impact of creating a space for individuals.
