Introduction

Hi, I’m Ana. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, eating disorders, body image concerns, and life transitions.

What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

In our first few sessions, my priority is creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. I’ll take time to get to know you, your goals, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore your history, current challenges, and strengths, while also discussing what you’d like to focus on. Since I specialize in EMDR and take a person-centered approach, I’ll work collaboratively with you, meaning I’ll follow your lead, check in regularly, and make sure the pace feels right. We may also spend time building grounding and coping tools so you feel supported both in and outside of sessions.

What makes you different from other therapists?

What sets me apart is the balance I bring between evidence-based trauma work and genuine human connection. I specialize in EMDR, which helps people process and heal from painful or overwhelming experiences in a deep and lasting way. At the same time, I believe therapy is not just about techniques, it’s about feeling truly heard and understood. My person-centered style means I honor your autonomy, respect your lived experience, and meet you where you are rather than imposing a rigid agenda. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I am both compassionate and direct, and that I create space for real growth without pressure or judgment.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I was inspired to become a therapist because I deeply believe in people’s capacity to heal and rebuild their lives, even after difficult experiences. Through my own journey and through what I’ve witnessed in others, I’ve seen how powerful it can be to have someone walk alongside you, someone who listens, validates, and believes in your potential when it feels hard to believe in yourself. Becoming a therapist was a natural calling for me: it allows me to combine my interest in the human mind, my compassion for others, and my commitment to helping people create lives that feel more meaningful and balanced.
