Menachem (Mena) Uminer - Therapist in Hollywood, FL

Introduction

Hi, I’m Menachem. I believe therapy should be a safe, loving, and deeply supportive space. I show up with warmth, care, and authenticity—always honoring the trust my clients place in me. I work relationally, meaning I show up as my full self: real, open, and genuinely present. The therapeutic relationship is central to healing, and I want my clients to feel truly cared for, not just listened to.

My work is rooted in helping people heal from painful experiences that have shaped how they see themselves. Through inner child work and compassionate exploration, I help clients get to the root of emotional wounds, heal attachment pain, and reconnect with self-worth. I support people in rebuilding self-esteem, developing self-love and compassion, and beginning to feel confident, lovable, and whole. I take a holistic approach—exploring past experiences, current environments, and relationships to create practical, personalized plans for real change.

Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I walk alongside you with care and respect. You'll never be pushed to explore anything before you’re ready, and you’ll always be in control of what we talk about.

Above all, I want every client to feel fully seen, deeply supported, and truly valued and empowered.

What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

In our first few sessions, my goal is to create a safe and comfortable space where you feel truly accepted and never judged. You are always in control of what you choose to share—there’s no pressure to talk about anything before you’re ready. Together, we’ll focus on building trust and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll listen with compassion and curiosity, and we’ll explore what feels most important to you. Whether that means simply having a place to be heard, learning new strategies to manage stress, or beginning deeper healing work, I want you to feel supported, empowered, and confident that therapy can move at a pace that feels right for you.

What makes you different from other therapists?

What sets me apart, I believe, is how deeply I care about my clients and the authenticity and compassion I bring into therapy. I show up with my full self—clinical knowledge, warmth, humor, and genuine presence—so I can truly connect with my clients. I also take a holistic approach, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs. This may include exploring practical solutions, inner child work, body-based approaches, or other paths that support deeper healing. My goal is that through both the care I bring and the work we do together, clients feel truly accepted and free from judgment. Many of my clients have shared that through our work they not only feel more confident but also develop greater compassion toward themselves, which allows for healing on a deeper level.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I was inspired to become a therapist both by my own journey and the impact others had on me. Like many people, I’ve faced my own struggles with mental health, and I know how isolating it can feel to battle depression, anxiety, or feelings of inadequacy. Along the way, I was fortunate to work with therapists who helped me find strength, hope, and self-acceptance. Those experiences made me want to offer the same kind of support to others. I believe no one should have to feel alone in their struggles, and my passion is to walk alongside people as they heal, grow, and learn to love themselves more fully. At the heart of my work is the belief that every person is deserving of love and acceptance, and every human being is valuable. My hope is to help people feel that truth within themselves.
