Hi, I'm Jersey and my preferred pronouns are She/Her/Ella. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family therapist whose deep desire is for people to relate to each other and themselves from a place of awareness of their own and shared humanity while being able to access their full ability to live a life with more confidence and harmony. I am spiritual, non-religious and respectful of all faiths and denominations. I am LGBTQAI+ affirming and a proud POC, who is trauma aware and trained in brief therapeutic approaches.

What can I expect in my first few sessions with?

In our first few sessions, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where we begin by getting to know each other and building trust. I’ll take time to understand your unique story, relationships, and the challenges that bring you to therapy. Together, we’ll explore the root causes of what’s keeping you stuck, begin identifying patterns that no longer serve you, and create strategies that support both immediate relief and long-term change. You’ll start building a toolbox of skills to help you manage distress while we gently process the emotions and beliefs that have shaped your experiences.

What makes you different from other therapists?

I bring a unique combination of being a bilingual, bicultural, and trauma-aware psychotherapist who blends evidence-based approaches with deep respect for your lived experience. My work is rooted in awareness of our shared humanity, and I hold space for both the pain and the possibility in your story. Because I am spiritual but non-religious, LGBTQAI+ affirming, and a proud woman of color, clients often find that I bring a perspective that honors both cultural identity and individuality. My integrative approach means we’ll work practically and compassionately, combining proven methods like the Gottman Method and CBT with tools for emotional and relational health and resilience, tailoring therapy to your needs rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

My inspiration to become a psychotherapist came from a deep desire to help people connect—with themselves, with each other, and with their own strength. I’ve witnessed how painful it can be to live in cycles of survival, disconnection, and self-doubt, and I believe that therapy can open the door to healing and more harmonious relationships. Becoming a therapist has allowed me to live out my calling: to guide others toward awareness, confidence, and the freedom to live with greater authenticity and connection.
